When you first started gaming? I started gaming really young, around when I was 5. I remember my brothers playing a couple of Nintendo 64 and Gamecube games and I got really attracted to that. I played mostly multiplayer games and enjoyed the competitive spirit that came with it. first tournament or competition? My first serious and organized video game tournament started in a Splatoon tournament called Ink or Sink. I remember I contacted players my age looking to form a pickup team and we did. I was so enthusiastic about creating strategies and building chemistry together in hopes that we could win. It didn't turn out like the way i thought though, we got knocked out in the first round but I at least learned it takes more then just believing that we could win in order to be successful. why you got into gaming? I started playing games simply because I enjoyed trying to figure out all the nuances and tricks that can be found in a game. Lots of hidden mechanics to be explored and experimented which always interested me. favorite game? Splatoon 2, I love how different it is from other shooters with its painting mechanic as a form of map control. It lets you be very sneaky with your positioning since you can hide in ink and surprise opponents. I also love how its fast paced and the potential influence an indivdual player can have over a match is massive. hobbies outside of gaming? I enjoy playing tennis, basketball and other competitive based activities. Staying active is very important to me to counteract the hours I spend sitting and playing video games. Similar to gaming I just enjoy improving and focusing on lots of small details all while talking and hanging out with the other players. I also really enjoy keeping up to date and trying out emerging technology and innovations. Simply because I believe these new things will shape how many people live their lives in the coming years. Dream job? I would really love to be involved in interaction with a community or communities, meeting various people and making progressions towards what would be beneficial for a neighborhood, region, city etc. After playing in lots of competitions in video games and sports I slowly realized that the people involved, whether it be spectators, organizers or participants are really what make events interesting and worthwhile. I would love to be involved in organizing these kinds of events and those beyond the competitive sphere.
